PLAN AFTER THE 2-YEAR CONTRACT COMPLETED

Plan A: Sign extension contract.

Plan B: Don’t sign extension contract and go home.


For Plan A
  1.  My income will be continuous
  2.  I can go home every six month
  3. I am on the safer side.
  4.  Three years stay in one company is a good career background.
  5. After this project, there will be a possibility that they will transfer me to other project and another country.
  6.  The salary increase will be sure.
  7.  My savings and investment will surely rise.
  8.   Going home is entering into an unknown possibility.
  9.   Doing business is entering in a risky situation. I may lose my savings.
  10.   I can still do business after another year

For Plan B
1.       I can start a business while I am in the Philippines using my savings and saving of my sister.
2.       If I still have a bulk of time I can still work to corporate world or pursue master’s degree to increase my knowledge and experience.
3.       I can attend different kind of seminars related to my career or related to financial knowledge on affordable price.
4.       If the business fails, I can still migrate if I wish to pursue. I can process PR while working or while doing my business.
5.       If the business succeed. I don’t need to migrate and away from family and home. But if I still want to experience the life in OZ or CAN I can still pursue migrating. Since I have money, it is more achievable.
6.       When I am in the Philippines I can do whatever I want to since, it is my home country. Especially things that I can’t do here abroad. In short I can enjoy life, which is the greatest thing to do while living in this planet.
7.       I am 27 years old this coming October (4 months from now). In this stage of life I should look for a partner and start a family. I am not saying it is impossible to do here, what I am saying is that it is hard to do it here, based on my 16 months staying here in Kuwait.
8.       If I decide to work abroad again, I can still work. I already have overseas experience therefore, the possibility to be hired is higher compared before.
9.       I will do something different. My routinary work in abroad will ended.
10.   Doing business is an exciting and adventurous thing to do.

    Conclusion:
Decision making is the hardest thing to do, especially in this kind of circumstances such as deciding about my career. On the other hand this is also a good action since, decision comes with planning, plan to succeed in life. In this stage of my life I have two option to sign extension contract or not and go home.
If I will not sign the extension contract I will lose my job. I will no longer receive monthly high compensation. In contrary, I will end this kind of routinary work, I will step outside the corporate world and step upward in a business world. In the Philippines, I can start a business which I really want to do, I will no longer have a boss and no longer responsible to complete 10 to 12hrs. working because I will have my own time. Regarding migrating in OZ or CAN, I am too young I can still do that, whether I’m here abroad, I’m in the Philippines, I’m doing business or working in a corporate world in the Philippines it’s just a matter of time.
Other than those which I mention above, if I am in the Philippines I can do whatever I want to, since it is my home country. I can travel during free time, I can take care of my family members especially my parents, I can pursue master’s degree, and I can attend any kind of seminar which, can boost my knowledge and skills, I can do anything!
The worst thing that could possibly happen is that, if the business will fail. What will I do? The answer is I will accept it. Since I put myself in a risky situation, I should prepare myself for whatever the outcome in my decision. I will gamble, gamble means I can win or lose. I win that’s good but if I lose, I will learn.
Every time I fail in life I always tell myself “Charged to experience” and that phrase that I’ll always remember if worst things will happen. For me loosing is not really loosing, the experience I gain which I can use on the next battle. I will be wiser, with that, winning will be in a short distance away. I believe in myself that I can win if I will start a business because I am PASSIONATE and MOTIVATED. I will do everything SUCCEED.
At present going home and starting a new career which is entering in a business world is governing. But it is too early to decide. I will finalize my decision three months before March.

BUHAY OFW -- Young OFW in Kuwait

Sa liit nga naman ng sahod ng isang employado sa pinas sino nga ba ang ayaw pumunta ng abroad para kumita ng mas malaki, doble o higit pa. Isa lamang din ako sa nakararami na gustong makapag abroad lalo na ng makita ko at maranasan ko ang pagiging empleyado sa pinas. Isa akong Civil engineer, single at wala pang sinosoportahang pamilya pero kulang na kulang na kulang parin ang sinasahod ko, papaano pa kaya kung mag kapamilya at mag ka anak na ako. mabuti nalang nag karoon ako ng chance na makapunta rito sa bansang kuwait. Kumita ako ng maayos, nakaipon at naranasan kong mabuhay sa ibang bahagi ng mundo. Pero sa una lang pala masarap darating rin sa punto na mag sasawa ka at mamimis mo ang pinas. FIRST ONE YEAR IN KUWAIT

"We don't Grow when things are easy, we grow when we face challenges" Isang taon na pala ang lumipas, Oh' kay bilis nga naman ng panahon parang kailan lang. Sinabi ko noon hindi hindi ako mag aabroad. Pero pagkapasa ng Board exam, sa 2yrs kong pag tatrabaho sa pinas nakita ko kung gano kahirap kumita at mag ipon kung sa pinas ka nag tatrabaho. Maganda na nga ang trabaho ko at single pa wala pang sariling pamilya pero wala parin nangyayare papaano pa kaya kapag nagkapamilya na. Maliit na income pero malaking ang mga expenses. Kaya nagkukulang parati. Kaya nong dumating ang opportunity na makaalis ako dinako nag dalwang isip pa. Sabi nila mahirap daw. Pero ika nga nila "No pain No gain".
